“Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced.”

-James Baldwin

Taking a hard look at our current reality can be challenging, but also incredibly empowering. You are most likely looking for some positive change in your life because you are reading this. You are looking to live a life of deeper fulfillment while working towards your higher purpose.

The first step in accomplishing this is doing an honest assessment of where you are currently. When you take the time to understand yourself deeply, you take control over your life and can lead it in the exact direction you desire.

This exercise will challenge you to look at many different areas of your life, perhaps even areas that you didn't even realize you had 'habits' in. However, in many places in life, when we look at them a little closer, we will notice patterns. Negative patterns can usually be identified with "Why does this always happen to me?" "How come I never....?" "People always treat me..."  Positive patterns can show up in the life long friends you have, your good health, or any other aspect of your life that generally goes well. Ultimately, patterns are habits you have that you are unaware of.

Current Habits Assessment

In the Habits Assessment Exercise there may be aspects of your life you've never looked at before, never thought of before, or are completely excelling in! I implore you to look deep within yourself and be honest about where you are in these areas of your life. There are three levels of awareness you can dive into with this exercise depending on how deep you would like to go. Also, try your best to focus on just your current reality. I know it may be tempting to starting brainstorming about your ideal habits, but we need to build a strong foundation for the new Healthy Habits to stick!

  • There are no right or wrong answers, just the truth!

  • Complete with intention and observe what you readily answer and where you hesitate

  • The best way to complete this, is the way that works best for you!
